The
Alpe di Siusi in the Dolomites is the ideal place for
hiking. According to their condition passionate hikers can undertake a cosy
culinary walk from hut to hut, climb on the Sciliar mountain or explore a
via ferrata in the Dolomites. During a hiking tour adequate
mountain equipment is obligatory – i.e. rugged boots, bad-weather clothing, sunglasses, and a jacket in case it gets cold, a hiking map of the area, and some provisions for the hiking tour.
It doesn't matter whether you want to hike alone, with friends and
family, or with a
guide familiar with the area: when hiking around and on the Alpe di Siusi, you can always experience nature up close, enjoy the health-giving benefits of fresh air and outdoor activity, and appreciate the
unique panorama of the Dolomites (Natural World Heritage site). And if you want, you can become acquainted with new friends, too.
If you intend to go hiking alone, we recommend that you obtain the necessary information in one of the information offices or from your host. If you would like a qualified guide to familiarize you with the
flora and fauna, the geological oddities of the Dolomites, the socio-cultural aspects, and the unique features of this nature protection area, then you might want to participate in a
guided tour in the Sciliar-Catinaccio Nature Park.
